Welcome to Hughes & Modoni

Brian Hughes and Massimo Modoni perform extensively together both Operatic repertoire and contemporary art songs.

Brian, an alumnus of the Royal College of Music, offers a blend of classical piano proficiency and innovative composition. Currently teaching at the London Contemporary Piano School, Brian's emphasis on composition and his adaptability across musical genres provide a distinctive touch to the duo's offerings.

Massimo, with a background steeped in early music as both a harpist and bass, has earned recognition with early music ensembles and opera houses in Italy and Germany. Recently, he has delved into the expressive realms of Italian bel canto and verismo, focusing on roles by Verdi, Donizetti and Puccini.

Together, they present Opera, Art Songs, works by contemporary composers, and compositions by Brian, offering audiences a balanced exploration of musical contrasts.
